London again

Matthew Barney at The Hayward Gallery, Southbank

What a treat to be out and about again. Had lunch in the updated Hayward Gallery, sitting in the Dan Graham pavilion, and then went to see first the amazing installation by Igshaan Adams - a massive room full of clouds of silver wire and fragments of

carpet - so beautiful and evocative, and then on to see the Barney film. I then visited the rest of the gallery where Barney's artworks were largely based on the film story line. copper plate, wood moulded metals, starry maps and out of this world shapes - glorious, and watching the film first enhanced my viewing...
